What is a Live in Carer?
A live in carer is someone who lives in the home of a disabled, elderly or vulnerable person and assists them with everyday activities. Our clients live nationwide and live in their own homes but need extra assistance in order for them to live as independently as they please. Exactly what is required of a carer varies from person to person but includes things such as helping a client get in and out of bed, helping a client wash and dress, cooking, cleaning and driving.
Why Become a Live in Carer?
A live in care job is not your average 9 – 5 job and it requires a special kind of person who always has the interests of others at heart. Being a carer for the ENA Care Group is about providing high quality one to one care to our clients which enables them to remain in the safety and comfort of their own home. It is a demanding but highly rewarding role. Without Live in Carers, people who wish to live independently or people who need specialist assistance would be unable to. We consider our carers to be ‘Care Champions’ promoting dignity in care at all times and are really proud of the carers who work for us at the ENA Care Group. It is a role that will take you to different places, introduce you to interesting and inspirational individuals and is a flexible role as you commit to short term placements as and when you please.
