Spinal Injury Carers, live in carer

Live in Carer of the Year 2016

Our Carer of the year is Annette Graham Congratulations!

Annette joined the ENA Care Group in May 2015. Since her training she has completed a few placements for us. Annette was the first carer placed to help set up the placement she is currently in and she has been there almost a year now. Annette was nominated by her care manager, Harriet, see below for what Harriet has said:

“I would like to nominate Annette Graham for Carer of the Year.  She started our most complex package and is still currently supporting this package. She has gone above and beyond with supporting her client with his Neuro Rehab and is always going out of her way to support new carers in handover, extended periods of learning. Recently the second carer in this package has been unwell and Annette supported the other carer whilst at hospital in her own time. “

Neuro Rehabilitation is a difficult time for an individual who has recently suffered an injury which has damaged their nervous system. It can be a complex medical process which aims to to minimise and/or adjust to any functional alterations resulting from their injury. For a person who has recently been injured, it can be a difficult time for them and their families to adjust to life after injury. The help of a trained Live-in Carer can offer additional support emotionally, physically and medically in a person’s first few months of rehabilitation.

We would like to thank Annette personally for all of her hard work and dedication to our Clients.
