Caring for Someone at Christmas

Our winner of this year’s Christmas Card Competition was Sarah Mills who submitted this design:

“I live in Devizes, Wiltshire. I have a degree in German, Art History and Classical Mythology from The Open University. My hobbies are writing poetry and drawing. I was inspired to create a design for ENA because I believe their work is vital. Many of us take for granted the fact that we can celebrate a time like Christmas at home but carers from ENA make this possible for the elderly and disabled. This Christmas will be the first Christmas without my grandparents and I’d like to dedicate this design to them.”

This year, in a small bid to be more conscientious towards the environment, we decided to donate towards The Trussel Trust who manage homeless shelters across the UK, instead of sending out personalised Christmas Cards. Over 14 million people living in the UK are considered to be living below the poverty line. The Trussel Trust operates 420 food banks out of 1,200 centers and can be found in Tescos nationwide.

Organised by our Trainer, Elise, we were able to buy a large trolley full of dried goods and toiletries to go towards this great cause.
