ENA are very proud to announce that we are the UK’s first care provider to roll out the Calm app to all of our employees
We know that taking care of our staff’s mental health is vital, now more than ever, to ensure that everyone feels supported and empowered to deliver the best care possible for our clients. Calm is a meditation, sleep, and relaxation app that strengthens mental fitness and tackles some of the biggest mental health challenges of today: stress, anxiety, insomnia, and depression.
Mitch Miller, Managing Director said:
“Mental health has been a huge burden for all of our staff, live-in carers, in particular, the nature of the role can be very isolating. The pandemic has impacted everyone individually but has presented considerable mental health impacts to staff, as highlighted in the World Health Organization’s most recent mental health research caused by the impact of COVID-19.
At ENA, we always work to the ethos that prevention is better than the cure, and so we made the decision to roll out the app to all of our staff back in March 2021 to support their mental health. This marked ENA as the first care provider in the UK to take such a drastic step and investment in staff members’ mental health. The feedback from the team has been excellent and we are proud to support our staff when they have needed it most.”
